| Acclaim Entertainment's yearly financial report dated 11-29-2000 has sealed the fate of Acclaim's comic book business. Acclaim Entertainment - FY2000 Report Due to financial factors at Acclaim Entertainment, Acclaim will not continue to publish comic books. The six-issue Unity 2000 series will end with only 3 issues published. Acclaim will retain the rights to all characters but will not be producing any new comic books. While this is of interest to collectors of Valiant comics produced from 1991 to 1996, it is not a new situation because it has been more than four years since the original Valiant titles ended their runs and storylines. This site will continue to provide comprehensive reference information to collectors of Valiant Comics produced from 1991 to 1996, in addition to some information on the Acclaim Comics produced from 1997 to 2000. Any new developments will be monitored, should they arise. |
